Kenwood introduced the TS-2000 in 2000 and built it until 2018. It puts HF, 6 m, 2 m and 70 cm in one 7.8 kg box at 100 W, or 50 W on 70 cm, and the TS-2000X adds 23 cm at 10 W. The main receiver uses IF DSP, so you set the bandwidth in software with no filters to buy. A second, independent receiver for 2 m and 70 cm runs alongside it, and there's a one-touch satellite mode. It also has an automatic tuner for HF and 6 m, a built-in TNC for packet and DX cluster spots, and Sky Command II on the US model for remote control from a Kenwood handheld. The TS-B2000 is the same radio as a black box with no front panel. Kenwood's last firmware, 1.12, came out in 2015.
