Type
All-mode base radios for the bands above 30 MHz, where a Technician license gets full privileges. The Icom IC-9700 covers 2 meters at up to 100 watts, 70 centimeters at 75 and 23 centimeters at 10, with a band scope and a satellite mode. It runs on 13.8 volts DC and draws up to 18 amps on transmit, so it needs a separate supply. These radios have no HF. If you want HF as well, look at the all-band HF transceivers instead.
